This is a personal project to compile and simplify all of the rules and guidelines for work used in the Woolynes ARPG on deviantART as an exercise in Technical Communications. Information here should not be considered official information and may not be up to date.

- There is no entry limit unless otherwise stated.
- All entries must be submitted to the appropriate group folder to be counted.
- All entries must include the Woolyne(s) registration sheet(s) in the description.
- All entries must include a breakdown of the total number of Shards and EXP earned in the description.
- All artwork entries require a background.
- A minimal background is defined as any background that is simple in nature, showing a minimal amount of details (e.g. two colors to denote land and sky, a few blades of grass, a cloud or two in the sky).
- A detailed background is defined as anything with more detail than a minimal background, ideally that shows more effort and time.
Prompts 📖
- All entries must have the prompt name in the title.
- All entries must be submitted to the group Prompts folder by the deadline to be rolled.
- Artwork entries must be fully colored and include at least 75% of your woolyne and a minimal background.
- Collaborative pieces are permitted, but the workload must be divided evenly. For example:
- Each artist sketches, lines, and colors their own woolyne, and both collaborate on the background and shading.
- One artist sketches and lines the piece, the other colors and shades the piece, and both collaborate on the background.
- Collaborative entries do not receive bonus shards for including the collaborators' woolyne(s) or a contextual description.
- Collaborative pieces are permitted, but the workload must be divided evenly. For example:
- Literature entries must be at least 800 words long.
- Roleplay and collaborative pieces are permitted, but each individual must write at least 600 words.
- Pixel art entries must be at least 100x100 pixels in size.
Mount Taming 📖
- You may complete the same taming prompt multiple times.
- Artwork entries must be fully colored and shaded and include at least 75% of your woolyne and a minimal background.
- Literature entries must be at least 1000 words long.
Explorations 📖
- Artwork entries must be fully colored and shaded and include at least 75% of your woolyne, a detailed background, and at least a paragraph of descriptive writing.
- Collaborative pieces are permitted, but the workload must be divided evenly. For example:
- Each artist sketches, lines, and colors their own woolyne, and both collaborate on the background and shading.
- One artist sketches and lines the piece, the other colors and shades the piece, and both collaborate on the background.

- Literature entries must be at least 1500 words long.
- Roleplay and collaborative pieces are permitted, but each individual must write at least 600 words.

Each entry (Prompt, Battle Class Training, Mount Taming, or Exploration) grants 5 shards.

All work of a Woolyne grants them EXP, including commissioned and gifted works. As a Woolyne achieves higher Tiers, they unlock the ability to purchase or use rewards such as armor, enchanted weapons, and elementals.
At 1000 EXP, a Woolyne gains the ability to train a second Battle Class. |
